JKD/KALI INTERNATIONAL - THE INSTRUCTOR TRAINING PROGRAMME

• Our instructor training programme is called JKD/Kali International. The aim of this is to turn out top class instructors who are both technically and physically competent; who have the skills to translate this fighting skill and knowledge to their students. This is a place for both Academy trained and Affiliate instructors to update their knowledge and skills. Training is hard and we cover Bob Breen Academy curriculum techniques.
  
  
• These have their roots in Bruce Lee's Jun Fan Gung Fu and kickboxing and Filipino Martial arts, both empty hands and weapons. The training also incorporates techniques from modern mixed martial arts,Thai boxing and Karate. The aim is to have a Jeet Kune Do approach to fighting that will allow you to evaluate and experience a number of 'ways' so that you understand the principles that underlie the combative process.
  
  
• We hold a number of camps throughout the year where a large number of instructors from all around the World come to train.

• We have eight grades of instructor. Once your level has been assessed you are ready to go through our three stage apprentice level, then on to associate level which also has three stages and then full instructor and finally senior instructor. Once Instructors are graded to Apprentice level they are put on our website and their contact details are available for download. This is not an easy 'pay and you're certified' association.
  
  
• Our aim is to forge a brotherhood /sisterhood of top quality instructors who are technically proficient with good teaching skills. The camps are a place where they can relax from their role as teacher and re-experience the joy of being a martial artist. Bob is hard on the grading levels so you are assured that anyone on the website is a good level.
  
  
• Anyone who is a brown or black belt in another martial art or who has achieved senior level in a combative sport may apply to join.
